As the trusted partner of information and communications technology (ICT) specializing in Document and Communication Services, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) has long been committed to incorporating innovative ideas into products, helping businesses to deliver the most to their customers. Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) today has launched Color 1000i Press, the first ever digital printing system with gold/silver dry ink technology, achieving a unique metallic appearance for customers and rewriting the course of development for digital printing, ultimately leading the industry in this golden era.

Color 1000i Press

With more than 100 patents, Color 1000i Press offers ultimate productivity with color print quality rivaling offset printing. It is designed to enhance productivity and reduce cost for conventional commercial printing as well as achieve diversified and customized digital production. The biggest breakthrough of Color 1000i Press is the adoption of Fuji Xerox’s exclusive Low Gloss Dry Ink formulation. What has been conventionally made using offset printing can now be delivered through Clear Dry Ink. Along with Fuji Xerox’s latest gold/silver dry ink technology, direct output of gold/silver color by digital printing devices can now be achieved for the first time, exhibiting the results of Pantone 877C and 871C. It allows for an output of gold foil stamping and metallic effect that could, in the past, only be achieved by traditional offset printing. This greatly expands the scope of customized application in the industry. In addition, efficiency is raised by omitting the traditional detached gilding process while saving costs for the whole production of gold/silver direct output.

Color 1000i Press provides outstanding 2400 x 2400 dpi resolution, which is the maximum resolution of printing services throughout the industry. By applying Fuji Xerox’s EA (Emulsion Aggregation) Low Melt Dry Ink technology, a vibrant color image and a wider range of colors competitive with offset printing quality can be delivered. Incorporated with the latest belt fuser technology, output is smoother, sharper and clearer. Equipped with Full Width Array and Automated Color Quality Suite, Color 1000i Press reduces the manual workload in color management, contributing to a better ease of use and consistency in color.

Thanks to the high media handling capability and ultra-stable high productivity, Color 1000i Press can accommodate paper from lightweight 55 gsm to 350 gsm at a speed of 100 ppm. With the Single Pass Decurler and advanced in-line cooling module, optimal sheet flatness and stack quality can be achieved. Auto Sheet Clearing can help improve productivity without the need for manual operated jam recovery.

Color 1000i Press offers two options of high-performance color print servers to accommodate different workflow and needs. With powerful color management, FreeFlow® print server with Confident Color technology is a print-on-demand solution which can process data at a high speed. With workflow automation capability, EX print server powered by Fiery technology can complete high-quality image production and present accurate and consistent color.
