Issued dateˇG06/05/2016
SourceˇGdrupa, Messe Düsseldorf GmbH
The touchpoint 3D fab + print will be a meeting point for all drupa visitors wanting to learn in detail about 3D printing. This special show in Hall 7a (Stand C41) will be all about 3D technologies for a wide range of appli-cation industries and their market potential. “The purpose of the touch-point 3D fab + print is to drive technical integration and to pave the way for new cooperative ventures in matters of branding and production,” says Sabine Geldermann, Director of drupa. “The touchpoint will bring together the traditional printing industry and visionaries in 3D printing, offering opportunities to explore the industrial potential of 3D printing and of additive manufacturing techniques.” Planning and on-site implementa-tion will be handled by KCI Publishing (Netherlands).

Another important element at the touchpoint will be a programme of around 70 presentations. Insights into production processes and the ap-plication spectrum of 3D technologies will be offered by 3D pioneers AMR (Netherlands), Aviv3D (Israel) and Massivit (Israel). The market potential of 3D printing will be looked at by international market research institutes such as Gartner (US) and Smithers Pira (UK). A further thematic focus at the touchpoint will be the legal aspects of 3D scanning and printing. These will be highlighted by DWF (UK) and Cohausz & Florack (Düssel-dorf). The programme will also include presentations by Arjo Wiggins, Blueprinter, Caldera, Canon and the IPP Printer Working Group. Each half-hour presentation will consist of brief talk (10-15 minutes), followed by a Q&A session. Participation is free for drupa visitors, and no registra-tion is required. The detailed programme will be running on each day of the trade fair, except on 31 May and 10 June, and can be viewed via the following link:http://www.drupa.de/touchpoint_3D_fab_print.
