"Hong Kong Welcomes You" Radio and Video Programmes starting from 26 October 2009 This series of radio and video programmes is produced in support of the Hong Kong 2009 East Asian Games to introduce some English phrases and vocabulary commonly used in receiving overseas visitors. The first ones to be rolled out are twenty episodes of two-minute radio segments with broadcasting details as follows:

Date: Mondays to Fridays between 26 October and 20 November 2009
Time: Broadcast during 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., and 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Channel: RTHK Radio 1

Promotion on radio

A new radio Announcement in the Public Interest (API) was launched in support of EAG, featuring artistes Ivana Wong and Eric Suen. It is also available at the WEC website at www.english.gov.hk.
